Prince William and Princess Kate today made their official first visit to Cornwall since taking on the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
The royals, who are also Prince and Princess of Wales, learned about the maritime heritage of the region and visited the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth. They also got to see a project locals are working on—the refurbishment of the Kiwi, a 14-foot sailing dinghy that the Royal New Zealand Navy gifted the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip as a wedding present.
For the Thursday outing, Kate and William coordinated in cozy, business-casual looks.

Kate looked lovely in a long brown collared coat with a thin dark brown belt and smaller belts at the sleeves, worn over a crimson turtleneck sweater dress and knee-high brown suede heeled boots. She accessorized only with white gold diamond teardrop earrings by Emily Mortimer and her sapphire engagement ring from William. As always, she kept her glam natural, opting for a subtle smoky eye, pink cheeks, pink lipstick, and a soft wavy hairdo.
William looked cool and elegant in a blue-gray suit, which he wore with a navy sweater layered over a light blue dress shirt and navy tie. For footwear, he matched Kate in brown suede shoes.
William and Catherine became the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall upon Queen Elizabeth's death on September 8, 2022. Also in that moment, Prince Charles became King Charles, and Duchess Camilla became Queen Consort Camilla.
The titles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were passed on to William and Kate from Charles and Camilla. The couple also still retain their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which were given to them by Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day in 2011. The late monarch also gave them a title for Scotland (Earl and Countess of Strathearn) and one for Northern Ireland (Baron and Baroness of Carrickfergus).
